RAFTING ON TARA RIVER 2019

This year as well we will continue with our international gathering of Mensa members and friends on Tara River. As tradition says, gathering is booked for July.

This year it is the third weekend (July 19th–21st 2019).

Arrival to Šćepan Polje on July 19th 2018 in the afternoon.

Dinner, hang out with board games, dancing… whatever you choose. Overnight stay.

Wakening, breakfast, rafting, lunch, free time until the dinner, then dinner and again

evening hang out until the dawn.

Sunday morning wakening, breakfast and leaving of the guests.

Price: 95€ (If you pay until June 1st 2019 discount is 20%)

Free bus transport from Podgorica to Šćepan Polje (July 19th 2018) and from Šćepan Polje to

Podgorica (July 21st 2019).

Detailed program of 3-day gathering on Tara:

July 19th 2019

-arrival of the guests to the camp in the afternoon

(Organized free of charge transport from Podgorica – obligatory previous booking)

-dinner (barbecue, grilled fish or grilled vegetables)

-playing board games, dancing etc. until the down

-overnight stay

July 20th 2019

-buffet breakfast

-rafting

-lunch (veal under the bell, grilled fish or grilled vegetables)

-free time (for a rest) until diner

-diner (vegetables, barbecue, or grilled fish)

Registration and payment is possible as long as there are vacancies. When all capacities in

our camp are filled, others who are interested will be sent to neighboring camp. Children

under the age of 6 have discount of 50%, whereas children from 6 up to 12 yo 30%. Price

includes: parking in the camp, meals (5 meals), jeep ride, rafting and overnight stays. Price

doesn’t include other costs which are not covered by the program.

Program includes rafting through the most beautiful and the most attractive 18km of Tara

River, from Braštanovica up until Šćepan Polje where Tara and Piva form Drina. This route

itself with over 20 cascades and rapids is the most exciting part of the river. Tara is the

biggest canyon in Europe and second biggest in the world. Water from Tara River is safe to

drink directly from river from all of its length. Rafting is done with special boats for wild

water, with 8 independent chambers, 5m in length and 2 meters wide, which brings safety to

the highest level. Each participant is equipped with life vest and helmet. In a case of rain and

cold weather rain coats and neoprene suits are provided for everybody.

- with whom will you be in the room (double bed or twin bed), there are 4 double beds in

total, if you don’t specify, organizer will match you with somebody,

- what you want for

dinner on Friday (vegetables, fish or barbecue)
for lunch on Saturday (vegetables, veal under the bell (recommended) or grilled fish),
dinner on Sunday (vegetables, fish or barbecue)
